Webinar for teachers of the National UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet)

On Tuesday 16 January 2024, the National Coordination of UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet) at the Directorate of European & International Affairs of the Ministry of Education organized a webinar on the design of educational scenarios with the integration of Intangible Cultural Heritage elements according to the relevant UNESCO 6-step methodology for ASPnet teachers of primary and secondary education. The webinar was attended by teachers from 23 ASPnet schools from all over Greece, who intend to implement educational scenarios with the integration of Living Heritage elements during the current school year. 

The organizer of the seminar, UNESCO ASPnet National Coordinator, Ms. Vera Dilari, referred to the technical parameters of the project, Ms. Elena Bazini, Social Anthropologist, officer of the Directorate of Modern Cultural and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture, provided further insight into the concept of Intangible Cultural Heritage with her presentation "Introducing Living Heritage to younger generations", while Ms. Aikaterini Christodoulou, EFL Teacher, UNESCO Certified Individual Expert on the subject, UNESCO ASPnet Focal Point for the schools of Piraeus at the Office of European & International Programs of the Directorate of Secondary Education of Piraeus, provided pedagogical guidance on specific issues of educational design according to the relevant UNESCO 6-step methodology for the integration of Living Heritage elements in the daily teaching practice.

The seminar ended with very interesting observations, resolution of technical issues and creative exchange of views.
