The Internationalization Strategy of the Directorate, drafted by the Office of European and International Programs, was presented by the Officers at the Erasmus Days dissemination event organized by the 1st Technical-Vocational Lyceum of Piraeus and the 2nd Laboratory Center of Piraeus at their facilities on 20th October 2023.Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Ms Domna Michailidou attended the event and visited the Office, which is located within the building.
The Officers presented the two basic actions implemented to date in the framework of the Directorate’s Internationalization Strategy, namely:
- the drafting and submission of the application for the accreditation of the Directorate as Erasmus+ National Consortium Coordinator with 55 local schools as members on 16th October, 2023 and
- the organization of an online event to disseminate the work of UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet), on the occasion of its 70th anniversary. The event was held on 17th October 2023 and was organized in cooperation with the Directorate for European & International Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, which is responsible for the national coordination of the Network in Greece. The dissemination event was addressed to the Directors and Assistant Directors of the schools of Piraeus, and aimed at informing them of the operation and activities of the Network with the perspective of joining as members, if they so wish.
